Walking while pushing double-stroller..

...is the best exercise ever. At least, for me it is! I used to run, used to go to the gym, used to swim. I don't go to the gym anymore after having my second baby in November, no time, I get my work-outs done at home with free weights, and my cardio outside. My weight oss plateaued a few months ago, when my baby was 6 months old. Now he's 8 months, and all I've been doing is going for long walks with the double stroller - with this three year old sister in there, too. It is the best workout EVER! I seriously should write a book. Stop going spinning, stop going to the gym, stop doing your workout videos - strap your children in the stroller and walk, for at least 30 minutes-hour. I figured out I am pushing 60 pounds while I walk,  I walk for an hour...I can't even begin to calculate the calories I am probably burning. Anywho, I am glad I found something that I enjoy doing again and that I have time to do, since my kiddos do it with me!

  • I keep wondering if I could convince my 4.5 year old to ride in the stroller, and if I could, if he'd always want to ride in there.  :)  Right now I let him ride his bike, and I truck along behind him with the stroller!

  • DD still likes the stroller if I am taking both kids. If it's just her, I'll either pull the wagon, or she'll ride her little bike. But she still thinks it's neat to be in the double stroller with her brother, so I'll keep getting away with it as long as I can! One kid in a stroller is a good work-out, too!

  • I've done this workout for a while now.  Stick out tongue

    In the last year I have ran pushing a double jogger.  Great naptime activity to get 6-7 miles while they snooze.
