My husbands college friend and his wife just had another baby and it makes them 2u2! They have a 16 month old son and they just welcomed another little boy last week. I want to send them something (they live a couple of states away) but am at loss of what to send. I don't think they need any more "baby" stuff and they already posted on facebook that its great they get to reuse all their stuff. I'm not really close to her but when they lived in our town we hung out frequently and we still get together 2x a year. As moms of 2u2, any ideas of what could I send them? Thanks!
Re: Suggestions welcome!
Maybe a small gift to the parents? We grabbed dinner to go a lot when we didn't feel like cooking, so maybe a gift card to a place like chili's would help.
Specific ideas for baby include diapers, wipes, or a gift card to babies r us.
gift cards are a great idea - new diapers or even new receiving blankets as those get pretty used up. if you're shipping across the country a nice card and a couple different gift cards would be great!
say "enjoy a night out/in on us!"
I really liked getting personalized things for the second child. DS had so much - blankets, burp clothes, bibs, etc. Poor DD was just using all of his stuff (which was fine, she didn't know the difference), but it made me feel guilty. Then one of my friends sent her some personalized burp clothes, and it made me feel so much better (I was considering ordering her some because I felt so guilty).
A friend of mine just had her second, and I ordered her some of the same ones that my DD had gotten, and she said the same thing! She was feeling guilty that her #2 didn't have anything of his own, and appreciated it. Just another idea...
