Friday the 13th

After having a pretty smooth pregnancy on the night of Friday the 13th I ended up in the hospital with intense pain in my upper abdomen. Turns out I had HELLP Syndrome which is a form of preeclampsia. They were running labs like crazy trying to find out how bad it was because worst case I would have had to had a c-section. My liver was inflamed and my platelet count was dropping like crazy. I ended up leveling out at some point and was no longer at risk for c-section but had to be induced to deliver baby so I could get better. I ended up having Jacob on July 14th, at 4:44pm, he was 7lbs 6ozs and 21" perfectly healthy and I couldn't have been happier. I was in the hospital until Tuesday afternoon to my sure my liver was going down and my platelet count went back up. What a roller coaster ride it was but I couldn't be a happier mom than I am today. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures on here (or if someone wants to point me in the right direction) I will.
