I have an HE FL with moderately hard water. I use 2 Tbsp.
I cannot smell the tide when they're wet or dry.

I had to up my amount to the 2nd line...my diapers were starting to smell funky...they have been fine since. It will probably take a little experimenting to get the right amount for your machine. I can smell it faintly.
I use a little over the 1 line on the scoop, more like 1.5 but I'm washing diapers for 2. When I had just one in diapers I used a little under the 1 line on the scoop. I've never had stink issues or any other issues with my dipes. After washing there is a faint scent but not much.
Hmmm...is there a scoop that comes with the tide? I didn't see one when I opened the box. Maybe I need to dig around. Any idea how many tbsps is "1 line" or "2 lines?"
Re: Questions for Tide users
I have a portable washer, so my answers probably won't help you much, I can only really fit 9 dipes in at a time.
I've been using .5tbs but lately I've been thinking that is to much, so I've reduced it a little.
I can usually smell the Tide very faintly. I think that's pretty normal for Tide since the scent is so strong.

I have a HE machine and go almost up to the 1 line. I have only been cloth diapering for 7 weeks but so far haven't had any smell issues.
