Unfortunately, I can't seem to make a clicky poll work...
Mabel is the name that we are thinking of naming our DD who is due in October. My question is what should we use as a middle name? I would love to use a family name as her MN. Laurie is my mother (and is the name I would most like to use) but I don't think it flows very well?! Helen is DH's mother. Dorothy and Theresa are my grandmothers, Alice is DH's grandmother and Christine is my sister-in-law. What's your opinion?
Laurie
Helen
Dorothy
Theresa
Alice
Christine

Re: MN for Mabel
I should have added this - Last name starts with S and sounds like phone.
I think Mabel Christine flows the best out of your list.
What if you used a different version of one of the names, like Mabel Therese or Mabel Helena (Hel-ay-na)?
ETA: My best friend's middle name is Lauryn (pronounced Luh-rynn) and I always thought it was really pretty.
Mabel Dorothy reminds me of the Golden Girls when Bea Arthur's Son in law called her Mother Dorothy. Lol, sorry I have odd name associations.
I vote for Mabel Christine, even though I really dislike Mabel, it's just too old lady for me. I would say use it for a mn.
