I'm about 20 weeks along and have started the search day care search for when I go back to work. Wondering if anyone has used a center that they would recommend? We're looking for something in central Baltimore - ideally Hampden or Downtown and the neighborhoods nearby.
We've toured 5 different places that all seem ok, but it definitely feels like a shot in the dark to some extent.
Re: Day Care Centers in Baltimore City
We just enrolled our 3 year old in Scribbles Play and Learn. I've heard good things about their preschool program but don't know much about their infant care. The babies look happy when I've been there.
Its on TV Hill.
Thanks - I actually hadn't come across that one yet! I will definitely check it out.
No but some moms rave about it from a group that I belong to (Baltap)
Will you do me a favor and if you go to tour the center, will you tell them I referred you? They give a $10 Target gift card for referrals who tour the center! I need to fuel my Target obsession.
I'll pm you my name if you're ok with it.
Also, I got a flier the other day that a Goddard will open in the area soon. I live in Charles Village, so it has to be close to you too.
I got click happy and this was a duplicate.
I already have a tour scheduled, so feel free to PM me. I will keep my eye open for Goddard too!
My old boss, who worked at Goddard at one point, suggested to me that you shouldn't use them for the first year that they open up a new center as it takes them awhile to get the kinks ironed out. (I don't necessarily think that this was a Goddard specific recommendation...just something to think about. GL w/your search!)

Definitely a good point - I was thinking about this and wondering if a new place would have kinks to work out.
