I'll be having my second baby girl late this November and my first born will be 13 months. I'll be needing a double stroller but I have no idea what to look for. Hoping you all have some suggestions.
I DO KNOW I don't want a side by side. I don't know much about Sit n Stands but Im sure I don't want the only option for my oldest to be to stand.. HELP!
Re: Double Stroller Recommendations??
Scroll down through some of the posts to get some extra responses from others.. This board isn't SUPER active, so it may take a few days to get feedback.
Mine will be 13 months apart as well. We debated between the City mini double ( originally I had the single) and the Britax Bready. Ultimately I went with the B ready. I like the idea of going from single to double back to single, and it does like 14 different seat positions. It also came with a ton of extra accessories like parent console, car seat adapter, cup holder, and rain shield. The only con I can think of is that it is heavy, but I think most doubles are expected to be on the heavier side ( at least more so then what I was used to). I haven't used it with the second seat yet, since Lo isn't due til next month.. but I have played around with both seats, and used it as a single and really, really like it.
At 13 months apart I would NOT. Get a sit and stand. Mine were 16 months apart and really could trust her on a sit and stand until about 2!
When they little we used the city select every day because it gave the best options (single, double, glider board, car seat attachment, rotating seats). It is expensive and if money is tight Kolcraft Contours sells something similar (and comes with all kinds of accessories) as a double but it's a tank!
Baby gizmo in you tube is amazing!
My LO's are 14 1/2 months apart...I bought a used Graco duo glider and do like it and works good, it was cheap and used and we still use it for trips when we will be gone for long time. But we just bought the cheap side by side from Babies R Us - it's an umbrella stroller but a double (new it's like $100), and I really truely love that thing. It doesn't have a lot of "extras" or storage but for what we use it for, it works great! When DS was little (newborn) the Graco worked great but now that DS is 6 months and DD is 21 months the new one side by side works awesome and they both enjoy being able to look out and also see each other.
