Cora is the mom from Downton Abbey. I like it. I like old school names though. I think it works well with Emmy. Although it makes me think of the show getting an Emmy... Maybe I like Downton Abbey too much? Is that possible?
Married to my best friend 6/5/10
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
Cora is currently my first choice if we ever have a DD, so obviously I love it. What comes to mind for me is either an older woman or young girl- like many of the popular vintage girl names. And I think it's really nice with Emmy.
I like Cora but it is very popular in my area right now. Two friends I went to school with name their LO's Cora and I've seen a dozen in birth announcements from our area over the past six months.

Really? That surprises me. I definitely don't want her in a class full of Cora's. I haven't even looked at the rank yet... just assumed it wasn't up there. Hmmmm.

I like Cora, but I couldn't tell you exactly what type of person comes to mind. Maybe a girly, girl?

It's lovely. First thing I think of is the mom on Downton Abbey who is named Cora.
ETA: I see we have many Downton fans around here!
Etta Jane and Claire Elaine are here! Born March 28, 2012.

DD is Cora Elizabeth (middle name after my grandma), so obviously I love it! I think the name is sweet and a little bit spunky.
Obviously, DD is the first thing I think of when I hear the name, and I may be biased, but she's pretty fantastic
My DD is Cora Margaret and this is her exactly--even at 16m she is super dainty and proper about most things. And she happens to be brunette.
OP--obviously I love the name
Our precious girl, born at 27 weeks.
Love it! Emmy and Cora are adorable sibling names!
I would not ever personally use it, but it is a fine name.
It is spelled properly, is a real name, and is not made up.
In terms of what I think of when I hear it... I actually don't know anyone named Cora, but several named Corrine or Corine... and I think of them.
Really? That surprises me. I definitely don't want her in a class full of Cora's. I haven't even looked at the rank yet... just assumed it wasn't up there. Hmmmm.

Really? Do you, also, know a lot of Cora's?
