Wow, 12oz! That's a lot! I would love to pump that much at least once during the day. I get excited to see the end product after I pump because I don't enjoy pumping.
The only time I can EVER get that much is early morning, after her first feeding. I don't really tend to pump during the rest of the day, but if I do I don't get much at all.
WOW! I get excited too, but 6-7 ounces in the morning is the best I've done. Do you feel like as the day goes on, you pump less each time? I bf DD in the morning, then once I'm at work I pump all day and then BF her once we're home then she gets a bottle of formula before bed and then I pump again once she's asleep. That last pumping session I usually only get 1-3 ounces. Just wondering if that's normal. I have been taking fenugreek now for about 3 weeks and it has increased my supply slightly but not as much as I'd hoped. I have to give her formula before bed in order to have enough milk to send to daycare the next day. I have NO stash
Your breasts have different rates of production during different times of day, so yes it's normal to see a decrease as the day goes on. I believe they produce the most around 5am and the least around 5pm. I always get less at my 2pm and 6pm pumps.
But yes, I am happy after a good session and am OBSESSED with recording how much I produce and freeze.

I know what you mean, when i get 3 ozs at my last pump around tenish i get happy with it. I go tell my husband but i dont think he "gets" excited as much as i do. LOL.
I know what you mean! When I was pumping I remember thinking that this is probably the only time when I will feel happy feeling like a cow!

Try adding a pumping session after you feed in the morning you may find that gives you just the extra you need, I could always get four oz about an hour after my morning feed with my last.

I'd definitely try to get a pumping session in as early as possible. That session at around 6am tends to be great for me.
