DD is 17 months and weighs about 23 lbs.  I would love to wear her more but, she doesn't seem to like it.  

What type of carrier do you recommend?  I have an infantino that is not too bad but not the comfortable.  I also have a type of sling wrap that I do the hip carry with and she doesn't seem to mind that too much.  I would love to wear her on my back but she wants nothing to do with it.

    I use the Ergo for a back carry (but I've been doing that since he was about 6 months so he tolerates it well). I use a ring sling for a hip carry, which works very well.

    Generally, it works better if I'm doing something (going for a walk) than if I'm just standing or sitting around.

    I use the Ergo for the back carry. It is very comfortable. Ro hates getting in it, but once we are moving she is happy.

    Beco Butterfly. I usually just wear him if we're somewhere where he can't run around, or if we're going to be walking a long distance. And in all honesty, I barely wear DS2 anymore (he's 21 months). We have a car (didn't have one when DS1 was this age), and I use the stroller with him a lot more. Do what your kid wants!

    I used an Ergo when DS was a toddler, had no problems with it.

    I'd like to get a Ergo for back wearing.  I've not done much back wearing.  We still use a pouch sling with DS who is 2 1/2 and 30 lbs.  We use the hip hold, I've never used it for back carrying, I'm not sure how safe I could get him with it - but it does say that it is possible.
