Do you remember how you were feeling when that first contraction hit or your water broke or whatever your first labor sign was?
edit: I guess I mean your mood leading up to it, not your mood once you realized you were in labor.

That day I was totally emotional. I had my last scheduled dr appt (39w6d) and even though DH hadn't come to any of my appts since 12 wks, I was on the phone with him crying and begging him to come home and go with. No real reason, I just had to have him there. I was running to the bathroom every few minutes while my body was "cleaning itself out". The first contraction was that afternoon and was more exciting than painful. There was a few hrs between the first few. I didn't really think it was labor and was still in denial until they checked me into the hospital and said "well, you get to stay!" I was sure they were going to send me home!

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
This Cluttered Life
It was 2:30 am when I asked DH to start timing my contractions. I think I was in denial becuase I was only 36 weeks and 6 days. I ended up taking a shower and then calling L&D. While driving the the hospital I was still in denial. When a contraction hit I was convinced I was having the baby and then when it stopped I said they're going to send me home. While checking in my water broke in the hallway and I looked at DH and said it looks like we're having our baby.
I woke up to my water breaking. Literally. I woke up and heard a pop and felt a gush. Being that I was only 34 weeks and it was 1 a.m., I think I was VERY calm under the circumstances. I went upstairs to the bathroom, saw some bloody show and lots of wetness, and then went in to tell my DH that my water had broke. He was the one who freaked out...it was really kind of cute...I had to tell him what to do while I called the OB on call and waited for her to call back - we hadn't packed ANYTHING - hadn't even made a list of what to pack. I called my parents, he called his parents, we called our pastor and his wife, then we headed to the hospital.
The day before labor, I was in a pretty normal mood. My coworkers told me later on that they thought I looked "off" - like I didn't feel well, and that I was rubbing my belly a lot that day, which I didn't realize at the time. Other than that, I didn't really have any signs that labor was impending.
