I voted I want pie because I figured that was the special snowflake option. I was/am a smoker, I quit when I got my BFP for my daughter and then started again and then quit again when I got this BFP, and the way I'm feeling right now I'll probably start again. So anyway I always smoke outside, my parents smoke in the house normally and outside when any children are over, and my grandmother smokes in her house normally and outside when any children are over. Both my parents and grandmother smoked in the house all the time when I was a child.

My stepkids mother and her husband smoke in their apartment and in their car with the windows closed while the kids are in the car. They always smell like smoke and my stepson was born at 26 weeks so he is not supposed to be around smoking at all. So yes, she is a terrible parent....
Back in the day when I was a smoker I would smoke indoors. By the time we bought a house I was just an occasional smoker so I only smoked outside on the deck.
My dad still smokes and my mom I think has quit. We refuse to stay at their house when visiting because I am not exposing LO to all of that secondhand smoke. My dad seems to think that if he only smokes upstairs it should still be fine for LO to stay there
I smoked from age 12-32. I always smoked outside with the exception of my first Hamptons summer house. That house was a free-for-all and all 60 of us smoked, so there was a constant cloud in there. It was so gross.
I quit the day I got my BFP, I have had 2 cigarettes since DD was born and they were both when I was drunk, at a wedding, outside the venue.

I picked I want pie. I'm thinking strawberry, with a big dollop of whip cream.
DH and I don't smoke. Everyone I know who does smoke does it outside (or in their garage), except for my step-dad, who smokes 3 packs a day inside the house. DH and I decided last Christmas we will not be going to his house anymore, especially once I have the baby.
The only person I know that smokes in the house is my Stepmother. She chain smokes too and her car is covered in ashes. She and my father live 3 miles from us and I we never go there. H and I have been together for almost 7 years years and I can honestly say that he has never been inside their house or car. I have only been in the front entryway 1 time since Ellie was born. Think hoarders style. Their house is horrible.
I used to be a smoker for 15 years. Always did it outside, even when I lived in PA and there was snow on the ground.
Now that I am a non smoker thanks to Chantix for 5 years, I would never allow someone to smoke in my house. The smell is so nasty and I wouldnt let anyone smoke around my kids.

Most people I know only smoke outside because even though they smoke they don't want their house reeking. MIL smokes in her kitchen, but only right next to the exhaust fan with the fan on. And she may actually have stopped that since having grandkids. I know she no longer does it in front of us; not sure what she does if we aren't there. Somehow her house is the only one I've known where someone smoked inside and the smell didn't assault you the second you walked in the door.
When we used to smoke it was always outside. I always had cats and I didn't want them to be exposed to second hand smoke. Now, I will occasionally smoke one or eight ciggs while imbibing adult beverages and it is still, always outside!!!
Oh, I do want some lemon pie, indoors!!!

I don't smoke. DH does (outside only and currently trying to quit... Again), as do my brothers (outside only), and my stepdad. SD mostly in the house. Makes me not want to visit him. So nasty.
I have never known anyone personally that smoked in their home. I think that is so gross. When we were looking at houses, our realtor took us to a home where the owners smoked inside and I had to leave immediately. The smell was so strong.
H used to smoke and he would smoke outside or in his car (when I wasn't riding with him) with the windows down. He will still smoke an occasional cigar, but always outside.
Mom to two beautiful girls and forever labor buddy to the fab lady MandaPanda518!
I only ever smoked outside, but before they outlawed it, I smoked in restaurants and bars. Now I don't smoke.
My MIL smokes inside and in her car. I made a comment to her once that any time she gets DS clothes as a gift, they reek of cigarette smoke, so now she douses them, and herself, in drugstore perfume (Fire & Ice, anyone?) before she comes to my house. I had to take 3 motrin last time she came over because of the perfume headache I got.

And now I want key lime pie. Especially my SIL's, which is extra tart and served semi frozen. Also, yes, I realize that's not the kind of pie in the picture.
(FTR, I am not smoking now that I am pg. But before I was, it was never ever in the house.)
A woman's life is nine parts mess to one part magic, you'll learn that soon enough...and the parts that look like magic turn out to be the messiest of all.
His mom is also a smoker & she smoked in the house when DS was a baby. We'd ask her to not smoke when we'd visit & her response was, "I smoked while I was pregnant with 3 of you 4 kids! He'll be fine." To top it off, she's a RN. She has since moved in with her boyfriend & no longer smokes indoors.
We have friends that smoke in their house (one is also an RN). They do not have children.

My DH Aunt is the only smoker I know. She doesn't live near us, when she is here she smokes outside.
I also voted for pie. Don't give me that option, I will always pick pie.

Yuck. I'd rather smell the smoke.
That's exactly what I said. It's awful.
And now I want key lime pie. Especially my SIL's, which is extra tart and served semi frozen. Also, yes, I realize that's not the kind of pie in the picture.
I chose never in the house, but I also want pie.

SO is a smoker but never in the house.

My sister is *special* and smokes, in the car, with her 18 month old in the back.
Oh, and she's also 20 weeks pregnant.
We are not exactly the best of friends.
