My sweet baby girl is supposed to be coming home tomorrow morning! I pray the night goes well and this actually happens! It's been a long stretch in the NICU and I will miss the nurses but I'm so ready!
She was born 7 weeks ago tonight at 30 +5. Never even crossed my mind that I would deliver early or be the mom of a preemie. In my "spare time" over the past several weeks, I've lurked a little on this board and the insight I've gained just by reading your posts has been tremendous, so thank you!!
Any advice or words of wisdom you'd like to share?!
Re: She's Coming Home!! (and intro)
Congratulations Mama!
If family ask if you need help, take them up on their offer. Enjoy your LO and take lots of pictures because they grow so fast.

Oh wow - we were so close! T was born at 30.7 and we were in there for about the same amount of time!
My only advice is to have a part of your heart prepared just in case it isn't tomorrow. I don't consider it over until the doors (front doors!) close behind you. On discharge day T had a major brady -while- I was picking up his meds right before leaving. He was allowed to leave since we came home on a monitor, but when I walked in to find them all staring at me, H, the nurses, the neo, I was like...WHAT...what, just tell me. UGH!
I also cleaned my house like a nutcase. NICU is so clean! I had to mop and dust!
Enjoy, though, take pictures. The first night home is the biggest treasure
Congrats and give us an update when you can!

Congratulations!!!! Take lots of pictures and ask as many questions as you can think of. I remember getting home and thinking of more. Get copies of all records that you may need for your pediatrician and make sure you know what specialists you have to see in the future (eye dr? Hearing?)
Good luck!!
