Recommend your hands free pumping bra

I'm using one a friend loaned me, and it's too big. It works at first, but as soon as I get any milk in the bottles it doesn't keep the shields on me.

TIA!

Also, thanks last week for the cooler advice. Someone mentioned seeing some at Walgreens and that has worked perfectly.

I use this one and really like it.  It's adjustable and I haven't had any problems with it!

  • I made my own using $15 nursing sports bras from Motherhood Maternity.  I think I've also heard of others making them from regular cheapo sports bras.  Make a mark over your nipples and cut a slit where the mark goes.  Presto, cheap pumping bra!

  • I have the Medela one and I love it.  I am kicking myself for not getting it sooner (as in the year that I BF DS).  I was going to try the sports bra thing, but I really like that this one doesn't have to go over your head.  I just pull it around and zip it up without having to remove all my clothes and stuff, just lift up my shirt.

Yeah, I will admit that gets annoying.  I have one that I made out of a nursing bra I hate (bought some nursing bras when I thought I was going to be BF'ing and not EP'ing), but I definitely can't wear it out of the house either, since you can see the cuts under my shirt.

  • When I pump I just use my nursing tank or nursing bra for hands free. I flip it down like I'm going to nurse, put the cone over my breast and flip up and clip! It holds it really well.

I have the Simple Wishes as well and like it a lot.  I thought about doing the sports bra thing, but in retrospect I'm glad I splurged for this.  It would not have been convenient to put the sports bra on/off over the head all the time.

Ditto this. I just used a regular cheap sports bra. It works perfectly!

Do you use at work? Able to get it on and off easily?

  • I'm also a HUGE fan of the simple wishes bra...its such good quality and its tight enough to help give a good vacuum seal...my baby also did not want to be put down for the first 2 months so I was able to pump and hold my LO

Look up "hands free pumping" on Kellymom.com. It works with any nursing bra or tank that has clips and costs about a dollar. I do this every day!
