Ovulation after m/c

Well....I finally got my period last week after almost 8 weeks post natural m/c. I thought it would never come. Do any of you sweet ladies have any advice on trying after a first m/c? This is my first one, and I have heard ovulation & your body in general can be kinda crazy after a m/c. I don't have any close friends that have experienced this loss, and not having any frame of reference myself, I was just wondering what experiences you guys have had with TTCAL for the first time. I've also heard I can expect to be more fertile during this time period, but I'm not sure if that is a wive's tale or hearsay. I would appreciate any input or words of encouragement. Feeling kinda nervous.....even if I do get a positive test sometime soon, I still feel like I will be totally terrified.

    No advice here, but I'm worried about my ovulation after my m/c.  I didn't ovulate regularly before getting pregnant and I'm worried that this m/c might have screwed up my body even more.  Have you been charting?  The only way I could figure out my ovulation last time was the nice smiley face OPK

    I recommend picking up Taking Charge of Your Fertility and/or check out fertilityfriend.com and get yourself a good BBT. Things can be crazy after a m/c, but they can also go back to "normal." Good luck!

    So sorry for your loss. What time frame did your doctor give you to be able to TTC again? That's how long you should wait since he/she knows your situation the best. My Ob told us to wait 2 months from the time of our miscarriage diagnosis and that's how long we waited. It's hard to think about TTC after a miscarriage. I'm terrified as well but my desire to move forward and add to my family are much stronger. Good luck with TTC and welcome to a great support group.

    BFP #3: 01/28/12, EDD: 09/23/12, MMC (BO), D&C 2/16/12 at 6.5 wks
    BFP #4: 05/23/12, EDD: 01/31/12, Early MC at 5 wks

    RPL Workup: + LPD (7DPO Prog = 7.8, Endometrial Bx = out of phase)
    Elevated Alpha 2-glycoprotein IgA and antiphosphatidylserine IgM -->
    Hematologist said not to worry and no need for treatment!

    Dx: LPD
    Cycle #1(08/2012): Clomid 50 mg CD3-7, Ovidrel CD13 + Progesterone = It worked!
    BFP #5 on 09/10/12 (11 DPO). HCG #1 @ 14DPO = 131.6 HCG #2 @ 16DPO = 509

    That book rocks! I ditto the suggestion...it's just a great book in general and beneficial in other ways (even more than TTC).

    Thanks for all the advice & encouragement! I did get an ovulation kit & started testing daily after my AF ended. No smiley face yet. Just kinda wondering what to expect. My doctor said to wait two mths minimum before TTC again we definitely want to follow doctor's orders. So here goes I guess!
