I posted a few days ago about getting the membrane sweep done. Well it worked! I had it done around 10:00am and at 3:00pm I started to get period like cramping. The contractions were mild for a while so I was not convinced that I was in labour. My water broke later that evening and it was off to the hospital! When I got to the hospital I was in transition and the contractions were really hard and fast. By the time they got me into a birthing room, I was 10cm and ready to push! I had prepared myself for a natural labour - but I always thought the option of an epidural would be there. But it went well! I had to push for two hours. It was hard, but at the end I found the motivation and the strength.
She's been doing really well. We are home from the hospital. She wants to eat around the clock. Which is great - but it is exhausting. I have lots of help - but no one can help with the breastfeeding. It's so hard to sleep! Every minute of sleep is precious now, lol.
I love her to bits already. She's so beautiful.
