To embroider or not to embroider

So my SIL is a fabric designer and had named one of her designs "Annabelle" (while I was pregnant). Most of her work is bought by companies, but she had a yard of fabric made and sent to my MIL to make a pillow with it. Because of the amount of fabric, MIL was able to get two pillows made, which now one can go to DD. My original plan was to have it embroidered with Annabelle's initials.  She just received the pillows in the mail yesterday and didn't have it embroidered and asked if I still wanted it. I asked DH and he said, "Absolutely not. I don't want people to ask a bunch of questions." It kind of caught me off guard because we have been pretty much on the same page on things regarding Annabelle. It actually p!ssed me off a bit. I mean, the pillows would be in our house and the people that would see it would know, because otherwise why would they be in our house?

So what do you think?  Should I have at least one of them embroidered?

    While out of respect for DH I wouldn't want to go against his wishes, I do think I would have at least one embroidered. You can always remove the pillows if you don't want to talk about Annabelle with your company. 

    I think it would be sweet to have one for your DD and one for Annabelle. It would make me sad to know that she isn't there to enjoy it but I would be happy to know she is represented as part of the family.

    I wonder why your DH is so against it? I think it's a nice idea. Maybe you could compromise and have Annabelle's initials embroidered small in a corner or something?

    I am sorry that your DH is not on the same page.  If it were me, I would want to embroider at least one pillow.  I think it is a beautiful idea.  Hope you are able to work this out with your DH!  Thinking of you!!

    Thanks, ladies for your suggestions. DH and I will be in the car for 3 hours headed to the beach on Friday. I think I will bring it up to him again and tell him why it is so important to me.
