Nanny/In-home day care rec for near West suburbs?

So the nanny I'd lined up for my little guy decided to bail on me ... five days before his due date. Now, rather than relaxing and trying to stay calm prior to d-day, I'm trying to figure out plan B.

Does anyone out there know of anyone good in the LaGrange/LaGrange Park/Brookfield area (or near there) who watches babies in their home?

    We are in Wheaton (so a little too far for a Nanny share) and we found our nanny on Care.com.  Lots of interviewing and references are a must.  Good luck!

    SitterCity.com is a good place too. I was on there before and most of my friends who are working on their masters go through there too. Background checks and everything done for you. Good luck. I'm looking for someone too.

    Thanks for the tips, ladies!  I'm always a little nervous about looking on sitter websites, but so many people have recommended it to me that it must be ok, especially if they do background checks.

    Hi,

    I randomly fell upon this post when searching for a nanny or nanny share in Wheaton, IL. My husband and I and 1 year old daughter live in the city currently but just bought a house in Wheaton (Arrowhead subdivision) and move on August 31st. We have a fabulous Nannyshare situation down in the city currently that we're going to have to leave unfortunately when we move. We'd ideally like to do a nannyshare to save money and also we think its been great socially for our daughter. Would you be interested? Where in Wheaton are you locate (North or South area)? I know this is a long shot, but just thought I'd ask! If you aren't interested, please let me know if you have anyone else in mind for us!
