Cute lunch check-in

Three more weeks of summer! I didn't use many bento boxes for lunch this week because I figured this is my last chance to use plates every day.

DD loves the Cookie Monster spoof on "Call Me Maybe" (YouTube it!), so this lunch is in honor of that song. A "cookie" ham sandwich, bowl of cherries, blueberries under a Babybel cheese, carrots, peanut butter pretzels and a mini container of yogurt plus, of course, a cookie.

When all else fails, I go for a garden theme. Leftover lemon garlic chicken surrounded by raspberries, cherries, raisins, crackers, butterfly Havarti cheese plus a few chocolate-covered sunflower seeds. It's amazing how impressed DD was by the extra minute that it took me to wrap a piece of masking tape around the raisin box and turn it into a seed carton. I'll have to remember to do this again with other containers of food.

Hello Kitty bento container (it's small!) for a fast & easy lunch (I think I also gave her a banana on the side). Wheat Thins with a piece of silicone "baran" at the end so the carrots didn't get them wet, cheese cubes, a few blueberries, two cherries in one of my favorite silicone containers, and another container of chicken salad.

DD had a friend over for lunch so here's the super-fast lunches I threw together for them. Having a few picks and containers made this lunch fun with zero effort on my part! Lunch meat on picks, dip for the carrots, half a banana, Babybel cheese, Wheat Thins and blueberries.

*PIP your cute lunches here!* Have a great week.

  • Looking good as usual. My ds is away with his grandparents but I will post when he gets back. I haven't made a cute lunch in weeks :)
