what do you put on your scar?

I'm 3.5 pp and am wondering what I should put on my scar that isn't too expensive that works. I was thinking vitimin E oil??

I use the Body Shop's cocoa butter body butter mixed with a touch of cortisone (over the counter cream) to help with the itching.

I was told to not put anything on it and keep it dry.

Once it healed and started itching I just used Aveeno lotion, nothing more. My scar is fine, still a little purple and a little raised but not bad at all!

I have never used anything for the scar visibility. My scar is barely noticeable.

But the itchiness was so severe around 2w pp my doctor prescribed a steroid cream to put on it after both deliveries. It was unbearable.

I didn't use anything either, my scar was barely noticeable even immediately after the surgery. They took the staples out on day 4 and it looked just like a wrinkle in the palm if your hand. The length of the scar will shrink over time on its own, but I have heard that other moms swear by BioOil.
