Text/call every day, really?

Starting last Thursday MIL is texting or calling one of us everyday to ask how I'm doing. I know she's excited and all but I'm still a week away (today) from my due date).

AND she still won't leave us alone about the name. We have kept the name a secret. SIL kept both her kids' name a secret until birth, so it's not like this is a new experience for her to not know. She called DH this weekend saying everyone where she was was asking. We know that's not true and she THIS close to finding out since it won't be long before LO is here. She keeps guessing and guessing. She does even say the right name. I just hope when we do tell her, she doesn't say anything about "oh I knew it". 

Thru out the last half my pg MIL has really been on my nerves and it's just over a stupid thing but she won't stop it. AND I know she knows it bugs me. That's what surprises me even more that she keeps doing it. She keeps calling him "Little Jr" or "JrJr". DH is a Jr and we have already made it clear that he's not going to the The Third.

    My sis texts me everyday to ask how I am doing too.  It doesn't annoy me when she does it, but today I just responded with "you do know that I will text or call you when things start, right?".  And we laughed it off, now it's just back to regular banter in the texts.  It's funny how it is annoying when done by some people but not others.  Nothing my sis, mom or dad says ever annoys me, but someone else could say the exact same thing and piss me off, lol.  And more annoying than asking how I am doing is when people txt "anything yet?", or something along those lines.

    Right, I don't care when my parents or my brother text me the same thing.

    Also MIL asked that we let her know when we go to the hospital. We already went over that, that we'll let them know when we go in (but they can't come). I'm already planning on telling the hospital "no guest in case someone comes". Until we're ready for guest. I can see MIL/FIL coming unwanted.

    I had someone at work yesterday look at me and say "no baby over the weekend huh?"......Ummmm, yes I had the baby, I still look 39 weeks pregnant and I rushed back to work first thing Monday morning.  What the hell do you think?!?!  I think people just don't know what to say so whatever they do say ends up being extremely awkward.....

    I know its annoying, but just remember she is really excited! Although we are the ones having the baby, this is a very special time for grandparents, too. More than likely we will all be there one day. Hopefully we can write down what our parents/in-laws did that annoyed us and not do it to our children!

    Yup in the same boat. I finally started telling ppl that I will let them know if anything changes...please dont call.
