Both babies are transverse at 25wks

If both babies are transverse at 25 wks could they still turn?

Re: Both babies are transverse at 25wks

  • Of course.  Plenty of time.

But be prepared for a c-section.  You just never know.

Mine went from both transverse to both breech to finally breech/cephalic at 36 weeks.

  • Absolutely. They are only like a pound and a half each, they got plenty of room tonflip. In fact my girls even turned the day before I had them at 34 weeks. I was having a c-section anyway so didn't matter.

This was me as well. There's plenty of time for anything to happen.

  • Yes! I'm 36 weeks and they are moving!
  • Thanks! I was just curious as to how much turning they will do with two in there.
  • Very likely they can still turn.  I was getting an ultrasound every other day while I was in the hospital for a month and they changed positions all the time.  On the morning my boys were born they were both transverse according to the u/s and by birth, twin A had was vertex.
  • Mine were both transverse until 28 weeks. Ever since then they flip to a new position almost every day it seems like. They have plenty of time to flip. As of yesterday I had one transverse and one breech. 4 hours later they both were breech. Just an insight on how much they can move around in there.

  • Mine were breech at 28 weeks, both head down at 33 weeks, and then crazy E flipped back to breech sometime between 33 and 35 weeks. I don't know how he had room because they were both big babies!

  • Mine were transverse around that time. They did move around a lot and switch back and forth, so they can find the space. However, mine never went head down (or at least not that we ever saw on u/s). They were always some form of breech.
  • oh yes. both of mine have flipflopped so much the past week. i was put on strict bedrest and am only allowed to go to doctors visits. at each one my girls have been in a different position. im at 28 weeks and 5 days. so you still have time :)
