It's so hot in Philly right now (I'm sure even hotter in other parts of the country). I'm thankful I'm only 15 weeks at this point, because I don't know how I'd handle being 8 or 9 months right now! I walk 10 mins to/from the train to commute to work and it's really taking its toll. DH is picking me up at the station today, even though it's less than a mile away.
I'm so exhausted, I'm moving slower than normal, and I'm back to feeling pukey! I'm blaming it on the heat!
Re: Anyone else really feeling this heat???
Yes... I'm on the other side of the state, so it's a few degrees cooler than there (my parents still live in that area) but I don't have air conditioning so I'm pretty miserable. I haven't been eating well because I refuse to cook when it's this hot in the house. It's supposed to break here tomorrow.
ETA: I am SO SO glad I got pregnant when I did, because I was out of the first trimester before the heat got really bad and I'm not huge yet. I have a cousin who is due in less than a month, I really don't know how she's managing.

It's supposed to feel like 113 degrees here today. My plan, stay indoors and only go outside to get to and from work! Hope the air conditioner keeps plugging along.
Stay cool!

Yup. I just stay inside. We have Seasame Place season passes & I just can't bring myself to take my son too often, it's just too hot out. Thankfully my dad has one too and takes him every Friday.
I love the summer. I normally spend a lot of time down the shore. Just not pregnant.

I live in south eastern Arizona and happily it has cooled down ALOT! the Monsoons have come and with all the rain it's making it VERY comfortable. humid, but comfortable. About two or three weeks ago it was almost unberable how hot it was! im just glad i live in this area though. Summers in Tucson, Phoenix, and Yuma are NOT kosher for me. (i do give props to the ladies who live there though idk how in the world you do it!)
Yes, I came home and took a nap everyday last week because of the heat. I was so tired yesterday after I ran errands. Just walking from my car into a store makes me tired.
I live in Wisconsin and it has been in the high 90s to over 100F for weeks now. We don't have any air conditioning in our house or in the car! I've had morning sickness really bad and the heat does not help one bit! It finally rained for a tiny bit last week and people were literally dancing in the rain and cheering at Summerfest. The heat needs to stop. I have no motivation to do any cooking or cleaning around the house when it is so hot.
Unfortunately, I can't escape the heat living in Phoenix. I typically hate summers here, but even more so now that I'm pg. I find that I get lightheaded and burnt wayyyy quicker this summer than I have in the past. The biggest issue with the heat is that it never really cools off at night, so there is no relief. We have 2 a/c units, but keep them set at 81 during the day and 77 at night. Otherwise, we'd have a $500+ electric bill and the units would run constantly! Add a hot bedroom to already restless sleep and it's frustrating, but it could be worse.
We've had decent storms roll in with the monsoon, but it just makes it even more humid and hot. We have a pool, but it feels like bath water. Night time is typically when we get in and enjoy. I'm just thanking God that I'm not in my last trimester right now. The weather is going to be gorgeous when LO is due!
