What to wear to wedding Sat

I have a wedding this Sat.  I have looked everywhere for a decent maternity dress and all look like I am wearing a sack.  At this point in your pregnancy (I am 17.5 weeks) would it be a terrible no no to wear a pre pregnancy dress?  The dress is kinda A line and a wrap style.  I just don't want to look like a stuffed sausage.

Would you still wear a non maternity dress to a wedding now?

It all depends on your bump and the dress.

I still wear all non maternity to clothing and I am about as far along as you.

  • I just wore a regular (not maternity) maxi dress to a wedding on Saturday...I'm 20 wks with twins!  I have a soccer ball pump going on right now.  As long as you feel comfortable in a non maternity dress, I say go for it!

  • I'm 17w5d and haven't bought any maternity cloths yet...it depends on your bump. I have none lol so I'm still in my regular cloths, swimming suits (although my boobs are not fitting in them...much to my husbands delight)

Wear whatever feels comfortable. Maternity or not. If you have a nice Pre-pregnancy dress that shows off your bump go for it!

My hubby is in a wedding for our friend december 12th!!!!! Thank god I only know the groom lol I can't imagine trying to be a bridesmaid then...I don't know what to wear to that lol

  • I wore a regular dress to a wedding this weekend.  It was tight up top and then flowed out.  I don't think anyone would have known I was pregnant.  I usually find dresses like these at Ann Taylor Loft and they are cotton, but easy to dress up!

  • Wear what you feel confident in. If it's not a maternity dress, it's no big deal :)

  • Try a cute belt on a few dresses that rest just above the bump. I've found that this helps! Also, Motherhood Maternity and Target have some cute dresses, if you want to do the maternity route. If not, wear what you feel comfortable in! There is no set time of "when" you have to start wearing maternity clothes. ;)

  • I totally agree.  If you feel comfortable wearing a non maternity dress wear it.  I don't know where you live but I found a couple of cute maternity dresses at Kohl's.

  • I have both maternity and non maternity dresses that I've been wearing lately.  Some of the A-line non maternity dresses are more comfortable and look just as cute.  As long as you're comfy and not self-conscious in it, I say go for it.

  • I just went to a wedding Sat and wore a non maternity dress. It showed my bump but was super cute. Put a belt across my bump to show it off more.
  • If it fits I say wear it!  I've been wearing non-maternity dresses and belting some of them :) good luck!
  • I am 18 weeks and I am wearing a non-maternity dress to a wedding on Saturday. It's kind of stretchy so it's super comfy and ties on the side so it's really cute! If you're comfortable I say go for it!! Big Smile
  • Wear a cute maxi dress with a belt above your bump! That would look adorable :) I love Target's maxi dresses and they have some cute maternity dresses too that don't look like your grandma's mumus.

  • I was 17w3d when we went to a wedding and I wore an a long A line dress with one shoulder strap. It looked great and everyone could definitely tell I was pregnant and not just fat. I've noticed the maternity dresses usually only look good when you are 8 months pregnant so it was not something I was going to wear.

i have a semi formal baby shower to go to this weekend. i am wearing a maxi dress and dressing it up with some accessories. ppl understand when you're pregnant its hard to find nice fitting, comfy clothes. im sure a nice black maxi dress would look nice and u could wear some sparkly jewelry :)

I'm 19 weeks and have yet to wear a maternity dress. I have only worn a few maternity shirts and then the belly band with my pants.

I get LOTS of compliments when I wear a dress that shows off my bump.
