Question about 1st U/S

I had my first u/s today and there are two babies growing. However, one is 5 days behind and the heartbeat is slow. My RE doesn't think s/he will make it another week. Has anyone been in this situation, but have the small one catch up? I would have been (and will be) fine with one, but now that I saw the heartbeat of both I'm really bummed that I may lose one.

When I had my first ultrasound baby B did not have a heartbeat at all and was much smaller then baby A. My RE said that he did not think the baby would make it in his personal opinion and gave us a 10% chance. A week later the baby had a heartbeat and was the exact same size and heartrate as the other baby and for their gestation. My RE and nurse was both shocked. I hope you have the same happen for you.
