How dilated/ effaced are you?

During my exam this morning, my doctor told me that I am 2cm dilated and 70% effaced. I know that doesn't mean much, but I just happy to know that my cervix is making some progress. Those of you who are already getting cervical checks-- how dilated are you? I know everyone is different. I'm just curious.

I was 3 cms and long but soft at 36 wks. I dont know how far I am now. I will probably get checked this Fri.

I got checked this afternoon for my 36 week appointment-I am 1cm and 50% effaced.

7/6 = 35w5d: 60%, 1cm, -2

7/13 = 36w5d: "not much different"

I'm hoping to find out at my appt tomorrow! Also getting a US to make sure the head is down!

Maybe they can confirm gender too - my mom has me paranoid that one scan isn't enough

1 cm dilated and 0% effaced at my 37 week appt. I think I'm gonna skip further checks. That was my first check and I don't want to feel discouraged later by lack of "progress ".

On Thursday I was not dilated yet, but 80% effaced... and now on exercise restrictions as well as the pelvic rest until my 36 week appointment.

checked 7/5 was 1cm, baby high and not soft

Didn't get checked last week because I frankly don't care. It doesn't mean anything.

Might get checked this time (Weds) b/c of other issues.

I thought I would be checked today at my appt...she said she couuld if people request, but she normally doesnt. It doesnt mean anything and can cause cramping, etc. I passed since she felt that way and I didnt want to be discouraged if nothing...and hopeful if anything was. Next week I will request one though becase she said she would start at 39 weeks otherwise. Just curious to see if anything would change from 1 week to the other? She said she was 3cm dilated for 3 weeks with hers. So I guess I dont know why they even do checks?

1 cm and 70% - 1st baby. Started having irregular contractions @ 33 wks. On pelvic rest.

1.25cm dilated and 40% effaced. I was 1cm at 32w though so it isn't moving fast.

2cm and 70% when I checked a few days ago. I've always declined checks by my MW because I know they don't mean a thing, but I was really curious to see what was going on in there.

"A fingertip" dilated and 50% effaced at my 36.5 week appointment. So basically nada. I was surprised she even checked me, but maybe it was b/c I was already undressed for the beta strep test.

6/90/-2 with bulging back of water. I've been on hospital bed rest since 5/15 I was 25wks.

At 36w1d last week, I was at least 50% effaced and 1cm dilated. I'll find out if there's been any more progress from my relentless sets of contractions on Thursday...

For both DD and DS, I was 0% and 0cm until 39 weeks, so this is a bit of a shock for me haha!

While effacement/dilation are not good indicators for labor, it is always a good feeling when you know your body is "preparing" for labor.
