Anyone know if you can get a TB test done while pregnant? I need to have one for teaching this fall and I just realized I was unsure if I could get it!
I see my doctor tomorrow so I can also ask him then, but thoght I'd see if anyone knew first!
Excited for baby #2!

yes. I am an H R Director in healthcare and we require our ee's to get it done and its ok for pregnant women. If you had a negative reaction in the past we would require a chest xray

Yes, you can get the regular injection test. However, if you're like me and have previously tested positive, you'll always be a carrier and must get the chest x-ray done, which they won't do while you are pregnant.
Although it is safe to have it done right now, I opted not to have the skin test done when required for work. We had the option of the skin test or a blood draw so I chose the blood draw instead - besides that didn't require me to go back to have the skin test checked 48 hours later.
My OB preferred for me to wait. I had a negative test less than a year ago so I gave tem a copy of that and I'll get the test done after the baby gets here.
