DS was born with a slight tongue tie. It's not severe and while the ENT doctor came in and met with us in the hospital to check him out and offered to clip it while we were in the hospital, we passed at that time because we felt like we needed time to think about it. DH has a slight tongue tie (they did say it is genetic) and his was never clipped because it never interfered with his eating or speech.
While I'd love to not put DS through anymore "snipping", we're still debating this. If we are going to do it, I'd like to do it sooner than later. But since it's not severe and he seems to be able to stick his tongue out I don't know that we SHOULD do it.
Anyone with a similar experience?

I had one and my parents didn't get it clipped when it was a baby because it didn't interfere with eating or my speech when I got older. However, when my adult teeth started coming in I had to get it clipped because it was pushing my teeth around and braces couldn't fix it.
So, just to let you know there are other reasons why you might want to get it done. It would have been much better if my parents did it when I was little. It was a whole operation at the hospital when I got older.
