Glider - that I could use as a chair in another room afterwards

Hello,

I'm curious to know if this exists. I'm considering getting a glider, but I want it to not 'look' like a glider. And I want to be able to use it as a stationary chair in another room after its served its use in the nursery.

I was looking at pottery barn kids and they seem to have something similar, but wondered if any bumpies knew of any other company/products.

I have a Best Chair, Tryp type. It is a recliner and glider, we love it. My SIL has had 2 Best Chairs and they have both held up really well and one is now in the living room.

We went with the Monte brand. This is our one splurge item for the nursery. It was expensive. But it's so comfortable and we loved the design. We were joking that we'll need to put a TV in the nursery since it's going to be the best chair in the house

We also have a Best Chair--the Quinn style. It is a lovely chair that looks like a normal arm chair, but is very comfortable. I hate wooden gliders with a passion, so I wanted something that just looked like normal furniture.

Our biggest splurge for the baby by far. Can't say it's worth it yet as the baby has yet to come but we really wanted something long term. This will be moved to the living room once it's not needed in the nursery

I'm getting the best chair Quinn. The monte is definitely cuter, but the Quinn is cheaper. I sat in the Quinn at a store the other day and OMG it is so squishy comfortable!

It's not a glider but we purchased a Lane rocker recliner at a local furniture store. I have not regretted having it instead of a glider. Its a modern contemporary style and they had lots of fabric samples to have it custom upholstered and was less than $500.

I third Monte. We have the Grano which rocks and reclines. I still use it every day. Sometimes we rock, sometimes we don't. Sometimes it creaks, but overall it looks and feels great.

DH really liked the Dutailier glider and multiposition recliner.. its pricey, but he thinks it will go well in our living room in front of the big screen tv!!
