I've been crampy all last week. They felt like menstrual pains but weren't timeable. Well, yesterday morning, I woke up with hard cramps again. They felt like gas pains building up in my abdomen. But this tme they were time able. I was able to feel the pain beginning and building up hitting a peak, and then dissipating. This went on all morning for about 20 minutes apart lasting 30 seconds each. My husband and I went out for a lunch buffet at an Indian restaurant for some spicy food to get this going. Then these pains started coming in about 15 minutes apart lasting 40 seconds each, then went to bed ten minutes apart lasting a minute each. But I couldn't sleep. Every time I would nod off I'd get another contraction. After an hour of more painful contractions 7 minutes apart lasting for a minute each, I gave in and called my doctor. Poor woman, woke her up at midnight. She said I was definitely getting contractions, but they sounded like false contractions. She said to get some restless. The real painful active contractions will wake me up. Call her back when they're 3-5 min apart when I'm huffing and puffing in pain. Well, these false contractions got more painful after a very soft/loose bowel movement which turned into 5 minutes apart for over an hour then turned into 4 minutes apart. The pain wrapped around my belly, abdomen, hips, and lower back. But i still didnt think they were they knock me out pain my dr was talking about. I ended up falling asleep after 4:30 A.M.! Now I feel like I'm starting over again today. I'm still having contractions, but the frequency and level of pain are inconsistent. Could these false contractions soon tun into real ones? I feel like I'm o reanalyzing every pain I feel. Am I being a wimp with the level of pain intensity? Or am I tolerating more than I know and these are real contractions? Hopefully I will go into active labor soon. I'm getting induced Thursday.
Re: False contractions.. Baby coming soon?
This! GL
This. My real contractions were a lot like my false contractions, but they did become steadily more intense. I was having trouble talking through them by the time we went in. If you can fall asleep through them, they're not intense enough yet.
