Dropping is not an indication of pending labor. There is no magic decoder ring that says "baby will come xyz days/minutes/hours" after dropping. Some women don't drop until they are in active labor while others drop at 32 weeks. I know the end is hard and we all like to look for "signs" that the end is near, but please don't get your hopes up with dropping. It's like saying "I'm 2cm, I can go any day" and then walking around for 6 weeks at 2cm. Or being 0cm and going into labor that night!!!!

So true. I seem to always drop early....like 32 weeks. I think, for me, it has a lot more to do with my weak abs and the baby getting heavier in the third tri.
