Do you ever worry that...

Someone you know will see what you write on here? I notice that some people write a lot of personal things that I'm guessing they would normally not just share. Since you can look at this board without even having a login, do you every worry that when you are venting, that that person you are venting about could see it and it come back to bite you? This is why I don't always share all that I would want to, just in case.

Lol...I had this feeling the other day. I wanted to share a baby name that was overloaded with the letter Y, but was nervous that someone could quite possibly be friends with that person, so I didn't.

Eta: I don't really vent about anything like my DH, MIL, job, sex life, etc. because this is a public message board.

I try not to, since this is a public board...I have an online blog/diary thing that is on serious lockdown, that's where I do most of my venting

I told DH how I made fun of a name and he made me go and delete the post when I told him about it because he thought the parents would find out. It was a one-of-a-kind name.

I definitely have this worry. I don't want to put any details that could make it easy to identify me IRL---once something is posted its out there forever!

ETA I just realized how silly this is when I have a picture of LO in my siggy...duh! Guess I just shouldn't say anything too nasty or crazy!

I wouldn't say I worry about it, but it's a reason why I don't vent about my husband here or talk much about my sex life. My login is the same as my twitter handle and my blog. I don't publicize my whole name, but I don't hide it, either, and it would be fairly easy to figure out who I am. So I try to post with the general idea that people I know could be reading this, if they really wanted to go to all the trouble of lurking.

I don't put too much information on here as far as sex life or venting about my husband- unless I would tell him those things to his face.

I do . That's why I don't get nearly as involved in the board as I'd like and why I don't have pics in my siggy. I'm actually a little bit paranoid about Internet stalking. I have an ex-bf who had it down to an art form. He's made me not want pictures of my kids anywhere on the Interwebs. Which I realize is a bit over the top.

yeah I thought about that haha my MIL seeing it or my DH my god! My DH knows what he's done though and knows that I've told people, not the whole interwebs but a few people... Maybe I should erase my kids pics hahaha

there was actually some crazy sh!t that went down because of stuff like that on a local board I frequent. A guy broke up with his gf bc of the drama that ensued.

I think these days it's so easy to find where someone lives.. which would be my main concern. Aside from that, I'm not too worried - living o/s, I doubt if ANY people I know are aware this even site exists. But I've posted my name and my DH name before so it would be easy to figure out who we were and where we lived. Meh, I don't really care I guess:)

I do worry. But I feel like it would be a lot of work for someone to keep up with the posts on this board. If they really cared that much then go ahead, stalk me!
