Teething already??

My MIL watched my LO yesterday and afterwards told me she thinks he's teething! He has been drooling a lot lately. I also thought he was trying to suck his thumb but maybe he is trying to chew on it to feel better? He has also been a lot more fussy the past couple of days.

Could he be teething already? He's only 5 weeks 3 days old! If this is teething, what can I do for him to make him feel better? If it's not teething, what do you think is going on or is it normal baby stuff?

I thought DD was teething for months but guess what just drooling, which started at around 10 weeks, she got her first tooth at almost 11 months. More than likely just drooling

I can't imagine that your LO is teething already! Usually babies don't get their first tooth until they are about 4-7 months old. It sounds to me like it is just drool to me.

I really doubt it's teething at this age, but... Are his gums swollen or red in any spots? When you run your finger along them do you feel anything? If not, then it's probably just a baby acting like a baby.

His gums look okay to me. I did run my finger along them and did not feel anything.

I guess it is just normal baby stuff. Thanks for the responses ladies!
