Im in an HR room where people can come use the computer to apply for jobs. One person has already knocked but otherwise it's not so bad. Next month I move to my new office (with walls! And a locking door!) so it'll be much easier. At least now I can bump at work and not feel bad, haha.

Re: Pumping at work for he first time
I started last week and the lock to the office I use doesn't work so I put up a sign that said "in use, do not disturb". My boss decided that meant he needed to come in to see what was going on, it was way awkward, thank goodness I had my back to the wall.
I changed my sign to "do not disturb, I am pumping but room with be open in 15 minutes."
I have a lactation room in my building, but it's got weird hours for the summer. It's not my department, so I don't want to go in even though I've a submaster to the building. I'm emailing the director of the department to see if they'd mind if I access it when no one is there. Walking to the next nearest lactation room is a huge pain in the arse. To pump for 20-25 minutes has me gone for 45-50 minutes (between set-up, clean-up and travel).
We are supposed to be moving into new offices in the fall (though I was told today it will probably be the spring b/c they are behind schedule). No idea if I'll have my own office again then or not. I think so? I currently share with 4 people and an intern. Pumping in my own office sounds BLISSFUL. I wouldn't have to quit working, for one.
I'm having a very hard time breaking away from work at the right time to pump. I was late on Friday, and again today. It's not good. I've dropped down to 6 pumps, but may have to go back up, because my supply was lower - may've been due to clogged ducts though. I seem to get them weekly.

Our pumping room is a phone cubby with no windows and a locking door. It's pretty good, but sometimes I have to kick people out who like to work in there. One guy actually huffed at me today when I said I needed it. Heh.
I know a few pp mentioned folks walking in on them, just wanted to make sure you know your rights at work in regards to breastfeeding. Here's a link to the Department of Labor's site for nursing mothers. Good luck!
