Another one bites the dust

I was one of those moms that swore DD would not wear character clothes out in public.  Well, she has a pair of Minnie Mouse jammies that she LOVES.  She wore them last night and when I tried to change her out of them this morning, she FREAKED.  She kept saying "Wear Minnie?  Puh-leeeeeease more Minnie?  Pleeeeeeeeease, Mama?"  Break.my.heart.

So, weak mama over here put the shirt back on her.

Andplusalso, she's wearing it with jorts.  Embarrassed

  • I don't get the extreme hate of character clothing.  DH still wears Star Wars shirts lol.

I guess it's more directed for girls with all the DIsney princess crap. When I saw how much my kid loves Sesame stuff I had to buy him the Grover in a top hat shirt. I'd prefer that over a collared shirt and sweater vest any day.

I really hate all princess stuff.  And I know I'm going to have a hard time with that bc DD has one Disney movie in particular that she loves.  But, interestingly enough, she always requests the male lead, not the princess, when she asks to watch the movie.  lol.

  • Yeah we don't have any princess crap yet thankfully but we do have an Curious George t-shirt that DD is slightly obsessed with right now since she is all about George right now.  We have a major melt down anytime she has to take it off to have it washed.  I had to hide the Elmo fleece winter pajamas because seriously on a 90 degree day she saw them and was like "ELMOOOOOOO PLEASE"  so yeah she rocked them around the house with a paisley skirt on top to complete her ensemble and was as happy as a clam.

  • Wait, are jorts uncool for girls, too?

Ugh, my kid is doomed to have no style.

  • I told myself that Z would never be in head to toe pink... she is wearing a pink shirt with pink pants and pink and white socks. But she loves the outfit and that's all that matters!

  • lol. i've given up on saying "I will never..." or at least i should!
  • I'm not crazy about character clothes, but DS has a few.  Mostly ones that MIL purchased.

DS did insist on wearing his rain boots to daycare all last week though.  I made sure to hide them out of sight as soon as he went to bed on Friday.
