I got mine! I got it around 32 weeks, we live on a small island and there were about 5 outbreaks of whooping cough on the base that we are stationed at. The midwife and myself felt it was better to get it then instead of waiting. Also it's safe to get once you are in your Third Tri.
Everyone that was around DS last time got it early while I was pregnant. Unless there is an outbreak I would wait till after you give birth at the hospital to get it.

I got mine, you can get it late in 2nd or anytime in 3rd trimester. It's suggested to get before delivery (at least 2 weeks before contact with baby). I got mine around 32 weeks. DH got his as well.
I know CDC says it's safe after 20 weeks but the vaccine. insert says it's not recommended for pregnant women. I will be getting mine after delivery. DH got his last week.
I gave you life, then you gave me mine.

I got mine a few weeks before I got pregnant. We obviously didn't know I was going to be pregnant, but I was assaulted and they gave it to me in the ER while I was getting stapled up for the sake of Tetanus portion, but I have to admit it was good timing.
However, I would personally probably wait until after giving birth to get it if I needed it. This ma not hold true in all situations, but I think it's common for it to be offered in the hospital after you give birth?

I THOUGHT I couldn't have it but I apparently had it in 2007... I know I didn't have an allergic reaction at that time so apparently if I was allergic to it when I was young, I no longer am. I'll be asking my doctor today if I need it again (I'm not sure how often you're supposed to get it. I remember needing a Tetanus shot and didn't realize they gave it as TDaP.

I think I was recently told at the baby class DH and I took at our hospital that all new moms get the shot in the hospital after delivering, and the hospital recommends that the dads get vaccinated before mom gives birth. We've also asked all the grandparents to get their shots, too.

Just fade away...
I got it last week; my doc said she felt comfortable giving it to me during pregnancy, plus because I work in healthcare, she'd rather protect me a little more now too, because we've had quite a few patients with whooping cough as well.
H and I are getting ours this weekend. MIL, SIL and niece and nephew already have theirs. There have been a lot of cases in Cali, so we aren't taking chances.
When I told my doctor that I had read that I could get it in the third trimester, he said that it's a fairly new revision and he isn't comfortable doing it until right after delivery. He's an older doctor and said he has seen it happen plenty of times; where the CDC said something was fine and then after a year or so said that it wasn't, so when things change like this, he usually waits at least three years before doing it.
My mom is getting it and so is my SO, sometime before he's born.
I asked to get mine last week at 36 weeks and they wouldn't give it to me because I have a latex allergy. Since there aren't huge amounts of the vaccine out there I have to wait until I get to the hospital where they offer a different type of needle or something. Make sure u ask before u get the shot if u have a latex allergy!
I got mine at 25 weeks. I live in WA where it's an epidemic so DH, grandma, and both sets of our parents got the shot (or made sure they had recently gotten it) so they could see LO early on (my friend just gave birth 3 weeks ago and they said no visitors that haven't had the shot for two months...yikes!).
Several family members checked with their doctors and found out that when they went for their last Tetnus booster they were given the TDAP, so already covered.
