It seems like a lot of us have pet(s) and I thought it might be fun to start a pet thread....so
How many pets do you have?
What is their name/age/breed?
What is their favourite activity?
*if you don't have a pet and want to join in, pip your dream pet.
We have 1 dog named Max. He is 5 yo. When we rescued him they told us he was a border collie/ golden retriever...your guess is as good as mine
He loves to go on long hikes and try to beg for food...especially spaghetti.

Re: GTKY...pip your pet!
We have 1 dog, a Yorkie named Bentley. He's five and a half years old, and he has such a funny personality. He was actually my SIL's first, but after a year she realized that she couldn't care for him and was going to give him away. His favorite thing to do is to lay in our laps and have his belly rubbed
What a cutie! He looks so comfy

We have 2 female miniature schnauzers, Fenway & Zoe. They're both 3.5 years old...Fenway's a couple of months older.
Fenway is the alpha dog and thinks she's queen of the universe. She LOVES playing tug-of-war with a pair of gym socks tied together, and licking on your feet. Zoe is goofy and laid back. She loves rawhide bones, going on walks and sticking her head on the window in the car.
This picture is a bit older but it's my favorite of the two of them together!
Sounds like an ad for a doggie dating site.
I love looking at all the pictures!
Lol hlc...it does, Max is in need of a GF...poor guy has never gotten laid!
Max is also a cover whore too and sleeps between my legs. He likes resting his head right on my calf.

How many pets do you have? One dog
What is their name/age/breed? Rocky (Rockefeller Chrysler) / almost 2 yrs / Alaskan Klee Kai
What is their favourite activity? Rocky is a snuggle bug and has some attachment issues, so he is usually right by my side and if I am not there, right by H or our nanny. He loves chasing stink bugs, chewing bones and eating bananas. He likes to talk walks and plays a mean game of fetch (for about 5 min..)
If I posted pics of all our animals I'd flood the entire board lol. I'll just post the most recent additions.
This is Striker. She's my husband's new work dog. She's such a sweetheart and is VERY smart. She's a blue heeler.
This is Benny. I got him on Saturday. He'll be with us for about 60 days for training and then will go up for sale. He's kinda shy and needs quite a bit of weight put on him.
This is Spot(my husband named him). He came through the sale ring very very lame. My husband is a farrier and is going to practicing some new corrective shoeing techniques to try and help him. He's going to get x-rays done this week so we can see a little more of what we are dealing with.
Rocky sleeps this way too, although he will switch between H and I throughout the night. When I was pregnant, he would curl up on my belly and sleep on my belly, resting on the body pillow. It was adorable!
OMG hlc, this is adorable!
Adorable!

Awww...I'm not a pet person (I didn't grow up with a pet...that might be why), but I love looking at all of your pics! Especially the pets with the LOs!!
I also think it's cute that ccip is already spelling "favorite" the British way!
He is quite proud of his painting...

We have 2 dogs. Brighton is 5 years old and we've had her since she was a baby. She was honestly more work as a puppy than DS! She was a little hellion but she's calmed down a lot and is such a great dog!
And our newest addition...Parker is a rescue mut. He's around 3 years old and a super sweet guy, he's a total attention hog. He had a rough time when we brought DS home and was very nervous but he's doing great now.
My dog is in my siggy but I'll add another picture. This is our mini schnauzer Phoebe. She's 5 years old. She loves to play frisbee. At first she wasn't so sure about the baby, but now she's adjusted well and I think they'll be good friends.
What is their name/age/breed?
What is their favourite activity?
This is Libby. I've had her since she was super tiny. She's now eight. She's our "independent" one. Most of the time she likes napping in other parts of the house than we're in. At night though...when we're trying to sleep she likes to be in our faces.
This is Gus. We adopted him in 2007. They told us then that he was 3ish. Our vet thinks he's WAY older than that. But he doesn't show it. He plays like a kitten. And loves EVERYONE. He's one of those obnoxious cats that make visitors pet him to death.
Here are Diesel and Sadie. They were born 5/13/2010. They are brother and sister (both fixed of course) and are 75% Saint Bernard--25% Black Lab. Originally we got Sadie (the black and white one) and Diesel was supposed to be FIL's dog. But somehow we ended up keeping them both and they are inseparable. They love going for rides and going to the pond on a hot day.

And then there's my little dog, Jersey. She's a mini long hair dapple Dachshund. She was born 12/1/2010. She's super needy. She loves playing with Gus and playing fetch. She now spends her day being chased by DS.

(Oh, and her ears aren't normally like that---DH made them super staticy with a balloon. I call this her "Diana Ross shot".)
This is Penny a 6yr old boston terrible. She is a cat trapped in a dog's body. She enjoys sitting in the window licking her paws and scattering her toys throughout the house.

Haha, I thought the same thing, and was going to ask about it. I thought maybe ccip was originally from the UK and she was returning to her roots!
We have Molly, a 5 year old black pug. Her favorite things to do are lay in the sun, cuddle, chase her tail, give kisses, and bark at our neighbor's Jack Russell terrier.
From DS's 6 month photo shoot:
How many pets do you have?
Too many, lol... a dog, two bunnies and two budgies. I was a bit of a pet horder before DS.
What is their name/age/breed? / What is their favourite activity?
This is Ripley, our 'firstborn', the 4ish year old rescue mutt (probably Rat Terrier x Chihuahua x Corgi but your guess is as good as mine.) She loves kissing everyone, be it man or beast (other dogs, random cats, & especially the baby), playing with my parents' dogs, and lurking under DS' highchair (which is actually really convenient!)
Then we have Nyx and Leo, the bunnies. Nyx is a three-year-old Holland lop/dwarf mix. She loves cuddles and raisins (aka Bunny Crack.) Leo is also three and a Lionhead dwarf mix. He enjoys exploring places he's not supposed to be (we once found him on the table eating a cupcake) and chewing things.
Finally the budgies, Hina and Pele, who are four years old. Sadly they hate us lol, and enjoy only each other (but do deign to accept treats from us.)
ETA: grammar
We have three dogs and a horse! No picture of the horse on my phone but here are my three dogs.
This is Scout. He is a 7 year old yellow lab. He is small for a lab, very laid back and enjoys catching frogs, swimming in our tank, laying next to us on the couch and taking rides in DH's ranger.
This is Caya our 9 year old pitbull. She is very lazy and would prefer to be laying in on the couch in someone's lap 24/7. Normally you can find her on her bed in our guest room. (She sleeps there because she snors too loud to sleep with us) She also enjoys swimming and taking ranger rides.
...and lastly Riley our six year old lab/pitbull mix. My husband had the lab and the pitbull when we first started dating (without them being fixed) and they of courses ended up having puppies. (FYI they are all fixed now) I ended up taking Riley and now we have all three! Riley enjoys sleeping, swimming and taking Ranger rides. Her favorite thing is having her tummy rubbed.
Here is a pic of E and Scout.
E loves all the dogs and is always cracking up when he sees them. Riley normally rolls over for him to rub her belly..LOL
How many pets do you have? One dog
What is their name/age/breed? Boomer, 5 1/2 years old, Boxer
What is their favourite activity? Barking at people, playing with his girlfriend Marley (our friends golden retriever), sleeping (he loves to sleep with DD in her bed), stealing food we forget about on the counter (he's sneaky!).
Here's a photo of him with C at 2 months!
My two boys are king Charles cavalier spaniels. They are almost 7 years old now.
Their favorite activities are sleeping eating and cuddling. I'm pretty sure the baby's first word will be dog.
I can't figure out how to post from this iPad thingy, but I tried.
It is really hard to post a pic from the iPad...usually I have to start the thread myself to post a pic...but sometimes I keep trying and it will magically post my pic...the bump is not iPad or cell phone friendly...

How many pets do you have? 5 total:) 3 dogs and 2 cats.
What is their name/age/breed?
Maggie is our Australian Shepherd she is 3. Smitty is a Cairn terrier mix he is black and looks like Toto. Murphy is a Basenji/Jack Russell mix he is 1. Lilly is a tortoise shell cat, she is 9 and Phoebe is a tortoise shell also and she is 5.
What is their favorite activity? The dogs love running on the beach, chasing cats and sticks and barking:) Our cats, are typical cats...They enjoy lounging and stalking birds.
Sorry there aren't any pics, my uploader doesn't seem to be working. I will try later.
Kit (on the left) is 6 years old. We found him crossing the street as a baby and kept him. Sam (on the right) is 7 years old. We adopted her after my sisters cat had a litter. Kit is terrified of kids but same will find the smallest spot left on my lap and cuddle with A and me.
Sam laid on my belly the entire time I was pg. It was cute... most of the time.
Aww, everyone has such cute pets!!
I have a 6 year old chihuahua named Dingo, and 4 cats; Elly (11), Loki (10), Missy (9), and Sawyer (2). I'm not going to bombard you with pics of all of them, don't worry! But here's one of Dingo and the first pic I could find of one of the cats....it's Missy.
I have 4 cats, 1 dog. (And 2 fish... do those count?)
Angel, male, 12 yrs... Enjoys laying around, eating, taking over the bed, being in charge. Hates being pet too much, anything unclean.
Tabby, female, 8 yrs... Enjoys being pet, and looking out windows. Hates being held, being cuddled, other cats existing near her when she doesn't want them to.
Lily, female, 3 years... Enjoys running from strangers, egg, DH. Hates me, being held, being picked up, being pet incorrectly, and being approached.
Shadow, male, 2 years... Loves playing, pouncing, cuddling, being held, eating, stealing food, getting in the sink, windows, attention, crying while the baby sleeps.
Our dog...
Ninja, we've had her 3 years -- she was a stray, so age is unknown.
She loves attention, walks, playing with us, playing with toys, playing with Shadow... Hates our annoying neighbor kids who keep trying to get into her yard.
DS #2 - 4/2/14
We have a pug named Linus. I also have a ragdoll cat that is living with my parents while we are in Hawaii since I didn't want to put her through the stress of flying.
Linus LOVES people, and other dogs. His favorite activity is going to the dog park. He's very mischevious and steals stuff and takes it outside when we aren't looking. I'm waiting for him to get a little older to have a lazy cuddle pug and lose some of these sneaky toddler tendencies.
BFP #2 - MC Aug 2012 - D&C w/ complications
This is Daisy. She's a 7 year old chocolate lab. She and DS were hanging out on a blanket by the pool and she was guarding him. I know some people would say their pets knew they were pregnant and were protective but not Daisy. She had zero interest in LO until recently. Now that he pays more attention to her than anyone else in the house, she's definitely warming up to him. I swear Daisy is going to be his first word!
My three cats are in my signature. They were all rescues.
Lucy, the brown tabby, is 15 years old. I adopted her when she was about 4 months old. I actually went to the shelter to adopt an older cat, but Lucy kept sticking her paw out of her cage and patting my hair, so she chose me. She likes to be snotty to the kittens, hog my lap, and play with those spongy foam balls, dropping them in the water fountain. Happily Overwhelmed, your Libby and my Lucy could be twins.
The two kittens, Molly and The Bean, are actually 3 years old now. They were found abandoned by the side of a country road, in a box sealed with tape. Molly is very energetic, plays fetch with rubber bands, and doesn't like laps. She loves Margo and rubs her face on Margo, marking her as her own. The Bean is my instigator. He likes to chase the girl cats around and swat them on the butt, or hold them down for baths. He also sleeps under the covers with me.
