A couple of firsts this weekend!! And he's sick...again

DS was making funny faces yesterday morning and it looked like his tongue was playing with something so I took a peek and sure enough I could see a little white tooth on the bottom! It poked thru the gum by the end of the day.

He also came down with a nasty cold yesterday and was a drooling snotty mess. He had a really mild fever and was just run down, poor thing! We brought out the good old Rock and Play and he slept in that last night. I had to buckle him in tight becuase everytime he woke up he tried to get out of it but it was the only way he was going to get some sleep was to be at a pretty sharp angle due to all of the congestion. I've heard it's really common to get sick with a cold while teething, I guess it's true!

He also swam in a real pool with me for the first time on Saturday and LOVED it! He was splashing and laughing and kicking his feet. We stayed in for about an hour and I only decided we were done because his hands and feet were all pruned and it was time for dinner.

    Maybe the congestion is from the tooth! Lucas gets all snotty and runs low low fever for DAYS. Hope he feels better!!

    Ditto on the congestion from the tooth. E also had her first tooth poke through yesterday and she is a snotty mess...I had to use the nose sucker thing for the first time. I smashed up some mangoes and froze them in a ice cube tray. I put them in her mesh feeder and it made her a lot happier. The pool sounded like a lot of fun!

    yay for a tooth!  I bet the cold is related to it :)

    And that's so cute about the pool!  I think A would love a pool too - she loves her little baby pool :)

    I bet the cold is related too, especially with the timing, that's too coincidental. I hope this doesn't happen with every tooth, he'll be miserable forever!

    Do you give him anything for the fever or just let it run its course?

    I second the stuffy nose might be caused by the tooth. Lucas has had one for a while now and on his 5th tooth.
