Hello ladies congrats to those of you that have had your baby's since my last visit. The girls are doing well, on their second day of life they both had a grade one bleed but since has resolved itself. They have had to bouts of pneumonia from the vent tube but have recovered nicely. We had a NEC scare last week, and so I started taking probiotic supplements to increase the numbers in my breast milk. I hold the girls every other day and they have so far tolerated kangaroo care well. I am praying the hospital grade pump helps to increase my milk supply currently I only get four ounces total each pumping session (every three hours) I already take supplements and drink the sacred mothers tea . Sorry my birth story was all over the place I can thank the morphine for that! I can't believe they are already four weeks old and that I'm not pregnant anymore. Both are currently weighing in at 805 grams as of today I can't wait until they reach two pounds but their PDA is hindering them a little it is still slightly open and the Drs are waiting it out to see if it will resolve on its own. They both have had the inducing twice now to close the PDA.
This week they'll both be having their eye tests and as far as I can tell they an see just fine. The nurses and Drs are awesome at Georgetown I couldn't ask for a better team to be working with my girls! My c section (classic) is still giving me some serious pain issues but I go to the Ob tomorrow afternoon to get it checked out. Well if anyone has any questions please ask away:) if anyone has any suggestions please let me in on them. O and I test drove the city select yesterday and fell in love.

Praying for your sweet babies to grow and get strong. For you and your husband too
Thanks for the update! I'm sending your family t and p! As I can't speak to the preemie things you mentioned (im still pregnant) I did want to give you some hope onthe breast milk. I had a NICU consult last week and the burst and neonatologist both told me not to buy a pump--that the hospital ones were better for preemies because it extracted more and increases supply. I hope it works for you and your girls!
Xoxo
I'm so glad to hear they're both doing well!
