XP 3-6 months: Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces?

Have any of you ladies tried one? My SIL raves about hers, but I wasn't willing to spend that much money on one. However, dd has been miserable and hates cold stuff, so I don't know what else to do. Are they worth $22?

     I've read and every place I've seen that sells them has a disclaimer that babies should always be supervised while wearing them. I'm not too worried about that. According to my SIL it's short enough baby can't chew on it either.
