CIO Day Three Questions

If you did CIO, did you find your LO was more clingy for a couple of days after you started? Did they jump directly to high pitched angry cries? Did they cry when you started the bedtime process (i.e. putting on the sleep sack)? If so,  when did this end?  How many days of CIO did your LO need?

Re: CIO Day Three Questions

  • I am in the same boat with my almost 1 year old!  Tonight will be day 4 of CIO.  How long does your LO cry during the night?

  • I do remember that LO seemed clingier for a few days after we started.  He also started crying every time we laid him down on his changing table for a diaper change.  It seems like that just lasted a few days.  We started sleep training at the beginning of June and he still cries every night at bedtime, but I think part of it is he's just tired and ready to nurse.  He still cries when I lay him down in his crib pretty much every time.  It can be a short whimper or it can go on for 20 minutes.  Usually it's just a few minutes.

Yes!  I just posted another thread about this.  Great success at night time.  Complete and utter failure for naps.  We've been giving up at the 30 minute mark though as suggested by Ferber.
