Hi. I'm new here. Well, I've been lurking for two months, but this is my first post. I'm due 1/27 with our first, our miracle baby. We were told we couldn't and after trying for three years we had given up and started looking into our IVF and adoption possibilities through the military. We thought we'd save up for the next year while my husband is TDY and then go all out with either IVF or try for a domestic adoption. Ninja baby had other plans. So while my hubs will be leaving in November and won't be home until May, I'll be having a baby. Little overwhelmed. Any other military January mommas?

We just had our NT scan, we got our results the same day. If anyone has the option, go in the week before and get your blood test, then there's no waiting and they tell you right then. It was amazing to just know baby was okay.

Congrats!! I had something somewhat similar happen... we had been trying for four years and were getting ready to start injectable hormones in the summer when we managed to get pregant on a natural cycle, too. Miracle babies happen!!

Good luck with your husband being gone, I could see how that could be challenging. Hopefully you have supportive people around you to help you out.

Thats wonderful!!! Ihave a friend who was unable to have a child for 14 years, and then one day she wasnt feeling well and decided to go to the doc......"you're pregnant" Wow!! Miracle babies are such a blessing!

I'm a military wife and due January 3rd. This is also our first and (as an added challenge) we live overseas! We have a small medical branch on our base but have to drive an hour and a half to the hospital we'll actually be delivering at. Right now the hubby is deployed but he will return in November.
