C-sections

3 month old C-Section - still sore? Is this normal?

FYI I just got finished being treated for an infection of an abcess and finally I am healed. Took 2 months to heal. I am all closed up, no more tunnels, just a little dimple hole on my csection scar.  Have the belly pooch that I feel like maybe it is annoying the scar?

When I wake up from laying down all night and get up, I feel a tinge of soreness in that area still. Will this be there for sometime? Anyone have any insight?

  • This still happens to me occasionally . I had healing issues, like you, and my doctor said it is normal to have some pain sometimes.

  • I had pain and discomfort trying to get out of bed etc. for at least a month after and I healed well. You just healed up, so I would say it's normal for you to still be feeling pain.

  • Yes. My friends mom told me that it was 6 months till she felt completely back to normal. I would say this for me was a 100% true. Not saying I was still sore all the time before but there were times that I did feel a little sore depending on what I did.

I had what I would consider to be an easy recovery but at 3 1/2 months I'm still very sore. I almost, at times, feel more sore than I did in the early weeks after by csection.
