So, I'm feeling dumb. TMI about discharge.

So I noticed that my discharge had gone to a yellowish color and started to get kinda funky smelling. (So gross, I'm sorry!) It's been like this for at least 4-5 WEEKS.

I thought it was normal, hormones ya know? Well I Dr. Googled and I guess I might have a yeast infection? I don't have any itching or burning while peeing or anything.

Should this warrant a call to my doctor or can I just take Monistat? My next doctor appointment isn't until the 1st.

  • Don't just take monistat - call the doctor. Good luck!

  • Ask your doctor.  If it's not a yeast infection, but another type of infection, then you're not doing yourself any favors.    I've never had a yeast infection *knock on wood* so I'm not sure what the typical symptoms are, but I've heard there is a fair amount of itching involved.    Your doc would be your best bet.

  • I just asked SO too, he told me I should call too. I'm just not one to run to my doctor for every little thing. I don't want to be "that" pregnant girl. But I guess since it has been going on for a while I should suck it up and call.
  • It could be bacterial vaginosis as well..i know if thats not treated it could possibly cause pretern labor so def see your dr about it.

  • Call the doc. With ds I had yeast infections my whole pregnancy and most were internal so I had no idea. The doctors office would catch then on my monthly visits. But it is a big deal if you have one....I'd call just to be safe! Gl!
