My hubby and I are headed to Oregon next week and clam chowder is one our favorite things to get up there. So, in my concern for baby I looked it up in my 'What to Expect...' book and on baby center. Essentially, it's like most anything else...sure, it's fine, but not something you should eat every day. There is some concern that the richness of it may make a pregnant woman sick. I'm going to give it a shot!
I absolutely looove clam chowder. When we went for dinner recently at my fave seafood place it made me sick I was so sad. Good luck & enjoy a bite for me!
I've just heard that if you happen to get bad seafood it will make you really really sick while pregnant. I've eaten clam chowder a few times while pregnant... too hard to avoid while visiting family on Cape Cod!

If it's really thick & rich, it's not done right! It should run off the spoon easily. That's when you know you found a good one.
I had a seafood chowder of vacation this past week... only a cup before dinner one evening. Its not like you are eating ONLY CHOWDER for a month straight. Enjoy it! Mine was YUMMY!

That has been one of my cravings. And clams in general!
