"With difficult choices to be made about the tax code and the federal budget, I believe everything must be on the table. Yet successful programs that give homes to children and generally increase our social welfare should not be the target of cuts. Please be assured that as the discussions surrounding our budget and the tax code continue, I will keep your concerns in mind."

Still  haven't heard from my Senators.

    I just got a phone call back from my Senator's office.  The gentleman who called had just processed my email and passed it on to the Senator.  He said if I wanted to discuss it further, I could call back and I was given a contact number.
