Compression top for postpartum running to stop jiggling belly?

I'm 5 weeks postpartum and just tried my first run in months this morning.

I followed the wise advice of this board and got the Fiona Moving Comfort sports bra which worked great, but I wish I had a sports bra for my flabby belly too.  : p  I gained way too much during pregnancy and still have about 30 pounds to lose and a lot of it is on my belly.

Besides being annoying, I'm afraid all that jiggling is going to make my stretched out skin and stretch marks worse.  I've never worn a compression top before for running (and not sure how well one would fit over my currently massive boobs) but wonder if that would help.

Any experience with this or suggestions?

  • I don't have a compression top, but I invested in a Bally Total Fitness Slimmer Belt and it definitely helps with the jiggling and makes you sweat like crazy! :)

  • I use a slimmer belt too. I actually bought it at tj maxx for under 10$. It helps you feel supported when your muscles are weak from pregnancy. I have also found that engaging my core when i run, belly button to spine, has helped a lot.
