Ok I need some help on deciding what to wear to an upcoming wedding.
It is a formal wedding so I'm thinking a nice dress. But here is my dilemma.
I like and have a black coctail dress BUT my legs are so white it's ridiculous!! It just doesn't look right. So I was thinking of maybe getting a long dress but not sure if that is appropriate?
What do you think?
TIA!
Re: What to wear? - Help!
I did but the shoes I have are open toe which isn't that big of a deal BUT they get so slippery with a pentyhose on..
Oh really? which one did you use?
i've done this a couple times too and the results have been nice, I like the bath and body works adjust a tan one, only one i tried that wasn't too dark... and too dark often means streaky

Pretty sure it was just the Jergens Natural Glow fair to medium.

I like the way you think!
Thank you everyone!
So I've come to the conclusion that I will work on my tan AND get a new dress
I haven't bought anything for myself in I don't know how long.. Well since I had to buy pregnancy clothes! So I think I deserve a new dress :P
^^^ this too! now i remember i've used that one too

I know I was starting to panic!
My mother always panics whenever she sees my white legs. Tells me I'm going to glow in the dark and pass it onto my kids or something like that. Oh the travesty of it. (Then she comments how brown my brother's kids will be since he and his wife are brown--well, browner than me. It is because they get lots of sun exposure and I like to not get cancer TYVM.)
And yes, go with a shorter dress. Though I'd probably rock those white legs and go untanned, for simplicity's sake. (And why not challenge the status quo that tanned = healthy?)
LOL it sure would be the easiest and cheapest solution!
I might be a day late and a dollar short, but here's my opinion, with which Miss Manners would probably agree:
A black cocktail dress is for just that - a cocktail-esque occasion. If the wedding you are attending is truly "formal" then a cocktail dress is not appropriate, and pantyhose are, regardless of the style of your dress or shoes.
