We had that happen about a month ago and I wanted to pull my hair out... for a month I was desperately trying different things. I would give her more naptime, take away naptime, bed-sharing, earlier bedtime... nothing helped, she was waking every 2 hours or more. Then when we went overseas, she had a really hard time sleeping during flight... so DD arrived here in Cairo sleep-deprived and jet-lagged, no kidding, on the car ride to DH's in-laws she literally rolled her eyes back and basically passed out in her carseat and I freaked. She was ok, just tired. Anyways, she slept for almost 2 days straight and then returned to a normal sleep pattern. Actually it's been better than ever and shes been falling asleep on her own and staying asleep. Wondering if returning will have a reverse affect on this great setup. The only real advice I have... Take a nap or two when you can and try a few new things. Also, hang in there, it won't last forever
Thanks! I'm sure it will pass soon, we've already been surviving it for about 3 weeks now. DD came down with a cold also and had trouble sleeping because she couldn't breathe through her nose. She's all better now but the sleep hasn't gone back to normal.
The past few weeks DD has been regressing. I was so thankful when she slept until 5:15 today (still not back to her old self, but I'll take it!) Hang in there!

lol. My ears were burning We just got back into a pretty good sleep groove. When sleep goes down the drain my first suspicion is always that they're overtired. If you want advice on fixing, I need more information. What's bed time? How's LO napping? Could LO be teething? How often does LO wake?
As far as surviving, I always do what gets me the most sleep, whether it be co-sleeping or making sure DH gets a turn

DD usually goes to bed about 7-7:30. She generally starts showing signs of being tired around 6:30. She usually takes 2 1/2 hour naps in the morning and a longer nap 1-2 hours in the afternoon. Wakes from her afternoon nap no later than 4 or 4:30. Before these last couple of weeks she would go down at 7, have a dreamfeed somewhere between 10-11:30 and then wake again to bf about 4 or 5. Right now she's getting up pretty close to every 2 hours if not every hour. She usually needs to be rocked and comforted back to sleep.
It definitely could be teething. She still hasn't popped any teeth and she chews on absolutely anything in site.

Do you think it could be separation anxiety? If you suspect teething, I'd try a dose of tylenol. If it's separation anxiety, you might try bed sharing or moving her crib into your room
