too late for birth announcements?

Would I look ridiculous sending birth announcements when my daughter is 9 weeks old already?

I just couldn't seem to get my act together on that until now...

Re: too late for birth announcements?

  • I don't think so. I've gotten birth announcements from people 4-6 months out, so I think it's normal that a lot of people don't get around to it.

My DS is only 9.5 weeks old too, and I still haven't gotten mine out. It will get done, but I do have more important things to do in the meantime!

  • LO is gonna be 7 weeks old Monday, and although I ordered mine a week ago- I'm yet to get it all settled and everything sent.  I think it's fine - people will appreciate it, esp if you got lots of gifts beforehand.  I think they understand having a new baby and recovering is hard.  If it were me on the receiving end (and it has been!) I would still want one :) Do it!

  • DD is 10 weeks and I haven't addressed ours yet.  So, not in my book!

  • No, it's fine.  Mine only went out a few weeks ago.

  • Ditto everyone else.  Mine are in various states of addressing, stamped, and still to be done, and LO is also 9 weeks.  You have lots of other things that take priority, I don't think people mind getting them a little 'late'.

I had mine ordered and at my house by the time she was a month old.  I just mailed them all out last week.  :)  I think you are fine.
